Dr. Alkaitis Organic Flower Mask is an active, energizing mask that will bring a sallow, lifeless complexion back to life. It leaves the skin glowing while improving the overall skin tone. This is an active mask and is not recommended for those with acne and sensitive skin. Excellent for oily and normal skin conditions and may be used as an exfoliating scrub as well.
To Use: Dr. Alkaitis masks are biologically active and made from pre-digested ingredients increasing their therapeutic potential. By adding moisture to the mask, these unique ingredients are brought to life and in turn allow the skin to absorb fully their nutrients.
Mix one full teaspoon of powdered mask with approximately one teaspoon of water in a small bowl and mix into thin paste. Apply evenly with fingertips to face, neck and décolletage and keep mask moist by spritzing with water. After 10-20 minutes, gently use a soft damp cloth or hands to rinse face with lukewarm water. Discard and unused mixture. For additional rejuvenation and hydration benefits mix with organic goat milk yogurt and/or a teaspoon of raw organic honey. Use Weekly. 4 oz.
I was a little hesitant to try this mask only because it didn't seem like anyone was using it - no reviews here and not many online. I found a couple reviews that said it didn't live up to the Dr Alkaitis standard. But it was on sale and I've never had a bad experience with any Dr Alkaitis product (I love the Exfoliating Enzyme mask).
Firstly, it's grainier - it's got little bits of flower in it (and smells really nice.) I usually use water and keep spritzing, but I decided to use a little whole greek yogurt to mix it in this time (I found that I didn't need to spritz my face, to keep it wet, as often then.) When I rinsed it off, I gently rubbed it around my face for more exfoliation first.
I used the mask last night and this morning my skin definitely looks a little brighter. Better yet, the couple dry patches I had are gone (this could be partly due to the yogurt, also.) I almost NEVER break out or get blemishes, but this week has been tiring and stressful, so I had a couple small breakouts. Those are smoothed out and nearly gone, as well. After I rinsed the mask off, I put a drop of his soothing gel into some of the nourishing oil and smoothed that onto my face (I've been using the oil every night). So that all could have something to do with it. But all in all, it's a nice mask. It did brighten my face and the scent makes it relaxing.
