I had read so many rave reviews about this, especially in the shade "Nobody's Baby." It supposedly is the perfect neutral for every skin tone. That is definitely not the case with me. I have a neutral skin tone with pink undertones and this washes me out while also making me look just plain odd, probably due to the clash in color. I think it would look great on someone with warm undertones, though.
It conditions nicely but if you want staying power you should probably go with a lipstick instead.

I love these tinted lip conditioners! I have them in Bang Bang and Arabian Nights and both are really moisturising. Bang Bang is my favourite. I have extremely sensitive lips that are prone to dryness but don't have any issues with these. I wish they would stay on longer but I guess you cant have everything! Looking forward to trying the other colours :)

I've ordered three samples of this so far and I don't like any of them on me really. I'm trying one more in Shell Shock and then I think I give up. It's a nice texture and it's not drying or anything. I'm just having a hard time finding a color that suits me. I wish they had more colors to choose from.

The Bang Bang is a nice red with a hint of cherry, super easy to apply and really comfortable to wear. It gives a pretty shiny finish and is not sticky or greasy.
It's not as intense as a proper red lipstick what makes it really easy to wear anytime of the day, or at night.

Highly recommend this product. It's lightweight, somewhat moisturizing, and great saturated color. I ordered samples of shell shock and in paradise... both are great... the two layered makes the perfect orange-y pink for spring. Will def order full size in both... and sample other colors. Staying power is 3-4 hours... lasts well through eating and drinking.

i bought this in a nude color to compliment smokey eyes, and i like that it gives just a BIT more color than a lip balm (though it feels like a balm on your lips). id like to try it in a darker shade for a subtle "bitten" look on the lip.

This lip color is simply beautiful. It is build-able, so you can make it as light or dark as you want. I have dark skin with pink undertones and I lent this lip color to a friend who is very fair with pink undertones and she loved it too! We both feel it looks natural and not as "done" as regular lipsticks. Also, the smell is addicting.

I had ordered the colour Shell Shock from an Australian site which describes it as coral rather than SBL's description of vintage warm pink. I think the actual colour is between both, and gives a nice natural bright tint to my lips. The formula is lovely and moisturising.
However, I didn't really like the very faint chemical taste (reminded me of Burberry lipsticks). I'm not sure why I get that as the ingredients are very good. Also, because the formula is so moisturising the lipstick is very soft and moves around the edges of the bullet when I apply it so I have to be careful when winding it back down. Due to this, I am hesitant to carry it around in my bag and will usually only apply before leaving the house.
Having said that, I still really like this lip conditioner and am considering purchasing my next colour.

As a self-described lipstick addict, I can't go a day without wearing a pop of color on my lips. That being said, sometimes very bold and dark lipsticks can be too big of a commitment with all of the precise lining and re-applying, not to mention how drying some lipsticks can be. With Ilia Tinted Lip Conditioners, I can get the best of both worlds with their super hydrating texture and fantastic colors.
Sometimes I find that tinted lip balms or conditioners don't provide enough color, but that is definitely not the case with Ilia. My favorite shade in particular is Arabian Knights. I'm a total red lips girl and it gives me my color fix while making my pout perfectly soft.

First of all, let me just say this: Blossom Lady. Seriously, this neutral pink lipstick/lipgloss/lip balm has booted all my other lippies to the back of the makeup drawer. It gives great coverage without feeling heavy, is moisturizing even in winter, gives the lips a healthy shine, and when it does fade away, it does so without caking or leaving lips feeling dry. I have two of these: one in the aforementioned makeup drawer, and one in my bag for anytime access. Love it.

I think another reviewer called this holy grail lipstick, and they weren't kidding. I have used almost an entire tube of Arabian Nights and that hardly ever happens for me in general with lipsticks. The color is super rich and the feel of it is just worlds above so many other brands I've tried. Usually you get the rich color but with drying, or the moisture with the color dissipating too quickly. Here you get all the good parts! Can't wait to buy another tube and sample some more other colors too.

I have coloring like Rachel Weisz and own this product in Arabian nights and Bang Bang, having just ordered Shell Shock. These colors all look great on people with dark hair and light skin. I've had Nobody's Baby, but it just washed me out. This is my favorite lip product by far - I love the moist, ungreasy application and I feel it wears for a long time. When the color goes, your lips stay soft.

This is by far the best lipstick that I have used, and I highly recommend it. The texture is balmy, the pigment is terrific, and my lips feel hydrated even after it wears away. I'm not really a fan of thick, opaque lipsticks, so the sheer finish of this is perfect for me, and I'd say that wear time is average when compared to other lipsticks that I've used. Currently I have this in three shades:
Nobody's Baby: truly the perfect nude. It doesn't wash out my skin tone, and makes my lips look nude, yet healthy.
Blossom Lady: a very subtle pale pink/nude. Not unnatural looking, this should be great for the spring.
Crimson and Clover: the best red! The name says it all: it starts out as a vibrant crimson, a bright, almost warm-toned cherry red. The color wears away very evenly, and leaves a strong clover (pink) stain that is so, so lovely. It's like two lip colors in one, and because the stain really lasts I've been able to get several hours of wear from it, even through meals.

I had such a hard time deciding which one of these beauties to try and ended up with Shell shock. Good decision on my part. It is such a beautiful pinky coral. I have light skin with pigmented lips and this color just seems to brighten me up making my skin glow. I had thought it might be just a spring/summer color, but it really looks good all year round. I love it with a smoky eye or on its own with a peachy blush. The texture is very light and moisturizing and the staying power is pretty good - not 12 hours good - but pretty good, especially for a lip conditioner. I highly recommend and can't wait to try more shades!

I adore this entire line! I used to be more of a lip gloss/balm girl before discovering Ilia Beauty.
I have light/golden skin with blue eyes and blonde hair. Here is my 2cents on the colors:
Bang Bang is a great red for those who are red-phobic.
Crimson and Clover- goes on like a balm but stains the lip beautifully. It has nice staying power.
Nobody's baby- is my perfect nude
Blossom lady- perfect subtle pink
Arabian nights: fantastic bright pink- I always get compliments on this color when I wear it.
Shell shock: similar to blossom lady just a little brighter

This is my favorite lipstick of all time. It is beautifully pigmented but adjustable, moisturizing, has pretty packaging, and lovely color options. I've tried nobody's baby, blossom lady, shell shock, in paradise, and these days and they are all gorgeous! I didn't find these days to be well represented by the picture here (it's not so mauve-y in person) but the description (a subtle nude with a hint of bronze) fits. Nobody's baby and blossom lady are beautiful colors and I've gotten compliments every time I wear them. I'm looking forward to trying shell shock but the color in person is just as vibrant and pretty as it appears in the picture. The formulation of these is creamy, cushion-y, and comfortable. It never dries out my lips and applies like a dream any way you choose.

I purchased Arabian Nights and it is amazing. Out of the package it is a vibrant berry sort of wild rose color. It would put it right between a tinted balm and a sheer lip stain. Either way it is an incredibly flattering. It doesn't look like too much makeup even though it is a highly pigmented color. It looks darker in the tube and applies much lighter and more translucent. It is easily applied light or layered for variations in intensity of color.

I like this Tinted Lip Conditioner from Ilia. The color payoff was much greater than I expected for a tinted lip product.
Crimson & Clover was a true bright red, and I feel that it reads more like a lipstick than a balm. The color looks good on my fair skin. But because of the intense color I was dis-inclined to reapply very often. While this product was not drying to my lips in any way, it also wasn't particularly hydrating or balm-like, and it doesn't seem to leave any kind of protective layer on my lips.
There was no real scent to this product that I could tell, which is a huge plus for me as I am very sensitive to scented products, and have little tolerance for a scented product right under my nose.
I plan to try one of the neutral colors next "In Paradise", in the hopes that I can reapply more often!
I would purchase this again, to act as a sheer lipstick, but not as a conditioner or balm.

So I reviewed this the first week I started using it, and loved it (still kind of do!). I wanted to leave a quick note to say that, like a few other reviews mentioned, the lipstick part doesn't slide down correctly after a while. Bummer! I still love the product, but the packaging is not totally functional. It seems like it might be too soft to be in a conventional lipstick tube? I might just scoop it out into an empty container and use it more like the RMS lip shines. But the color & texture is lovely!

This lip conditioner is very moisturizing, feels great, and the color really lasts. Unfortunately, I haven't yet found a color I actually like. I purchased Dizzy and Bang Bang, and both of them look bright pink on me. Way too pink and bright. It's odd because Dizzy looks orange-ish in the tube, but it just looks pink on my lips. Maybe because I have pretty strong pink undertones? I've ordered a sample of the lipstick in a more muted shade, so hopefully that one will be better.

So far, I have only tried this lip conditioner in Blossom Lady and I really, really, love it. It's a fairly cool, almost nude pink that can be layered to opaque if you choose to do so. It's the perfect color for my fair, cool, pink undertone skin that is difficult to wear any lip color with. I love that it can be applied sheer enough that it is safe to touch up without a mirror but can also be layered for more drama. I also love that it feels just like a lip balm and leaves my lips feeling moisturized all day even if I don't layer lip balm underneath. I can't wait to try other colors and Ilia's lipstick!

I have this in Shell Pink. It's a perfect pink without looking too pink on my lips. (I have full lips and I opted for this one over Nobody's baby because on my lips it gives that natural pink effect). I wanted a stain/balm lipstick and searched everywhere for one with no luck. After trying a sample, I knew this was it. I don't even need a separate chapstick anymore. I top this with lipliner as well and it gives even a more polished effect. This is definitely my holygrail lipstick.

I have the driest most difficult skin ever and I have the WORST flaking on my lips in the winter. I typically cannot wear lipstick, only lip balm, because otherwise they are too dry. I love this lip tint in the Crimson color because it comes out nice a bright red against my skin tone. It is more moisturizing than my Vapour Siren Lipstick, and after time passes, I notice that I have the best tinted lips ever! It look my lips are that way naturally, my lips become matte but not dry. Just ordered Dizzy as well so excited for it to come in the mail and to try it :) :)

I purchased this in "Blossom Lady" and really love it! It is a little more sheer compared to a regular lipstick, but I think way more pigmented than a tinted lip balm. The texture is really nice, and it has a little bit of a sheen to it on your lips. The color is pretty much true to what is pictured. When I ordered this, I also did a sample order with a couple of the Ilia Multi-Sticks. Honestly, I liked this way better as both a lipstick AND cream blush--even though they don't market it as multipurpose. Also--I love the sleek metal packaging!

I have Crimson & Clover, and it's the perfect sheer red; I almost always pop this on during the day to brighten up my face. The first few times I applied it, I was surprised by how pigmented it was--the color is very bright, but still maintains the sheerness that I like in a lip conditioner vs. a lipstick.
Like the Ilia Lipstick, the color stays way longer than I thought possible--a few hours after application, often there's still color on my lips. This is easily my #1 go-to when it comes to lips.

I LOVE this lip conditioner!!! I finally found something that adds color to my lips without drying them out that doesn't have harsh chemicals! I'd been trying other brands that claim to be mostly natural, but they never lasted on my lips. I'd put it on and eat it right off - money down the drain.
I ordered Shell Shock, and it's a beautiful natural pink color on me. I'm very fair with blonde hair, and I use it now as my everyday "lipstick." I find that it lasts and it's buildable with the color.
The only downside I've found with this is that after the first time I used it, the shaft of the actual lip conditioner was no longer centered. So, when I wound it back down, it scraped along the side of the tube. And, I don't press very hard when applying, as it doesn't take much since it glides on so easily. It's a wee bit annoying, as I have to re-center it every time before putting it away. I almost gave 4 stars as a result. BUT, I love the actual lip conditioner so much, that it's been worth the extra hassle. I'm hoping I just got a lemon in terms of packaging. I'll definitely be ordering more!!! And, trying out new colors :-)

I love the moisturizing and softening effects of this formula, but I unfortunately chose an unflattering color. I ordered this in bang-bang, which looks gorgeous in the swatch pics, but on me it's too orange. The color pay out is really good for a tinted balm, though, so I think I'll try crimson & clover or in paradise next.

I ordered several samples of Ilia's lip conditioners and their lipsticks. I ended up purchasing Bang Bang and Blossom Lady and In My Room (lipstick)
Bang Bang is a beautiful and very wearable red. You can dab on just a little for a subtle stained effect or layer it on for a deeper, more dramatic look.
Blossom Lady is a very light pinky-mauve that is a nice, light neutral color when you just want a hint of color. I am happy with both colors of the lip conditioners and plan on buying Nobody's Baby next.

I just bought the full size of "Neon Angel" after test-driving a sample of it. The color pops beautifully, stays on for quite a while, and keeps my lips comfortable. I love how Ilia Beauty creates fashion colors while keeping ingredients healthy. Now that's avantgarde! Would love to see a vivid magenta-plum next.

These tinted lip conditioners are amazing. They are moisturizing, they give your lips a gorgeous sheen, and the color payoff is perfect. Shell Shock is a gorgeous warm pinky coral. My lips aren't very pigmented, and this shows up as a nice bright coral which instantly perks up my complexion. (The SBL picture shows it as much more pink,my pic shows it a bit more true to color I think). Also have Arabian Knights, Nobody's Baby, and Blossom Lady- I love all of those too, but Shell Shock is my favorite. These are some of my absolute favorite lip products.

I have these in three different colors (so far!) and love them all! I am very fair with pink undertones - Blossom is a beautiful , wearable pink, Nobody's Baby is the perfect neutral for me and Arabian Knights is great for when I want a pop of color. They are moisturizing and feel very nice on. .I tend to shy away from super intense color on my lips and this product is a nice middle ground between a gloss and a lipstick.

This is my favorite lip product. I'm amazed at how luxuriously it goes on, how long it stays on, and how beautifully it feels on the lips - and it's good for you! I was excited to try this as it has so many rave reviews but I was disappointed not only did I find the color (Dizzy) to be uneven when applied, you need to real exfoliate! But also the magnolia sent is not appealing to me on my lips. It is conditioning and the packaging is what you would expect from a high end lip product.

The best lip products ever. Though incredibly pigmented for tinted lip conditioners, you still never really achieve full opacity. Which is great news (I think) since it lets your natural lip color come through a little bit to flatter your skin tone (at least in my experience--none of these looked exactly the same on me and a friend). Love Arabian Knights, but the stain Crimson and Clover leaves is to die for. Gorgeous bright pink stain. And I mean stain.

Technically, it's not a lipstick, I know. But I have this in Dizzy, Nobody's Baby, Bang Bang and Blossom Lady - and Dizzy and Bang Bang functions as a stain for me when the emollients wear off. If you can't decide on a shade, you can't go wrong with Nobody's Baby. I have a hard time with finding a nude that doesn't wash me out, this one is universally flattering and makes me look like myself, only more polished. Blossom Lady is similar to their Tenderly blush and also a good choice for someone having a hard time picking a color. The conditioners are great, the quality is sky high and like anything Ilia puts out, you just feel pretty using it.

I REALLY love these lip stains. They moisturize so well that I can apply this first thing in the morning (with slightly dry lips) and it will even out the texture immediately. The staying power is pretty good but nothing too extreme-- if you aren't eating or drinking very much you can expect it to be on your lips for an hour or two without re-applying.
I also like that it isn't overly glossy-- not too matte, not too glossy- something in between that is quite natural looking.
My favorite color is Arabian Nights-- although I find the lip color in the picture shown to not be very accurate at all. It's a good 3-4 shades darker on my lips but is the perfect berry red. Really flattering on my fair/pale skin!

Usually I don't like wearing my on my lips apart from a balm, but I have In Paradise and I am in love with it. It leaves my lips feeling super moisturized and the color lasts for hours—I thought at first that it was a full-on lipstick, not a tinted conditioner. In Paradise is a great nude that works with my pinky-coral blushes. Can't wait to get more colors.

I have this in Bang Bang, and am interested in getting Arabian Knights and maybe Blossoming Lady. Bang Bang is a super pretty, sheer but not too sheer red. I sometimes dab it on my cheeks for a slightly flushed look. I find it a little drying, but I seem to be in the minority. Definitely worth the money!

I have the Ilia lip conditioner in Bang Bang, Shell Shock and Dizzy. I really enjoy them, but noticed that on my pigmented lips it doesn't show up as on the pics on the webpage. Nevertheless, I like them as they give just a hint of color and Ilia is one of the only lipsticks that doesn't dry out my lips yet still gives some color. I really wanted dizzy to show up more on my lips but found that the Kjaer Weis lip stain in Sweetness is what I was looking for in Dizzy:)

Absolutely the best lip color I have ever used. I have incredibly sensitive lips--I have never been able to use lipstick (natural or otherwise) as anything other than a base stain, completely blotted off, and covered with balm. With these, I can just apply and go! They work wonders--perfect finish, not too glossy, not too matte. And the moisturizing is incredible--I barely even have to prep with lip balm beforehand. Excellent staying power, brilliant color selection. I just throw them in my bag and use them as cheek color as well--they leave a nice, dewy finish (though as cheek color they don't last quite so long on me--fortunately, reapplication is a snap with such elegant packaging). Perfection.

I have Shell Shock and Bang Bang and I love both of them. I have very pale skin and they both look beautiful. They can be fairly sheer or very opaque depending on how much you apply, so don't be scared of how dark they look in the tube. They're also very moisturizing and have good staying power.

I love this stuff! I have always hated lipstick, but I own six different shades of this, and love them all. It's really moisturizing and the colors have good staying power. The colors are 'buildable' too - it's more like a lip tint if you put a little bit on, but if you put on a few coats, the color is as strong as any lipstick. I'm fair, but have olive undertones to my skin. If you have similar coloring and are looking for a nice nude color, Blossom Lady or Dizzy is probably your best bet. Blossom Lady is cooler, and Dizzy is a bit warmer - both are easy to wear and a good place to start.

These lip conditioners are really just so pretty. A healthy amount of pigment keeps them buildable but they are still so moisturizing! I also haven't found a single one that is unflattering and that's pretty amazing.

I have Crimson & Clover and it's so beautiful! This stuff stays on for a LONG time, and is almost as pigmented as a lipstick. I tend to hate tinted lip "glosses" because the color is too sheer but this is perfect.

Absolute holy grail. These tinted lip conditioners are more like sheer lipsticks in my opinion, as they are much more pigmented than any conditioner I've used before. Blosso Lady is a neutral rose pink, lovely for cool toned pale skin. Shell Shock is a unique hot pink coral, which is the only red that has ever looked good with my fair skin. Although they are meant to be moisturizing, they actually seem rather matte to me after the first few minutes, which I like because it looks natural and the color lasts a long time. I have In Paradise too, which is not my favorite color. I thought it was going to be a pinky melon, but it is actually a brown peach and looked bad on my pale skin. However I gave it to my friend who has olive skin and it looked amazing on her.

Trust me, if you got samples of these, you would want to buy a whole bunch! I tried Blossoming, Shell Shock and Bang Bang, and myyy they are great! It tastes sweet, not one of those typical lipstick/lip tint taste that you would find at the drug stores. As many people have said, the colours last long for me too even though the colours are sheer (this is not a lipstick!). No it's not glossy.

Like everyone else, I love this product. I started out with the safe Blossom Lady because it was promised to look good on just about anyone. I think that is probably true. I absolutely love the texture and color, and other than important evening events where a more intense, fuller color is needed, I'll hardly turn to lipstick during the day. This is such a lovely, easy product. Ordering Dizzy now.
