Q & A
Vapour Organic Beauty continues to raise the bar for revolutionary performance and purity with the introduction of Soft Focus Atmosphere Foundation.
Atmosphere Soft Focus Foundation is a buildable, medium-to-full coverage foundation that perfects the skin without appearing heavy or mask-like. Its exceptional finish starts as a liquid and quickly transforms to perfect the skin's surface with a silky texture that blends easily with the skin for the desired amount of coverage. Atmosphere Soft Focus allows the skin to breathe and will not clog pores or dry out the skin. Organic Pumpkin and Papaya complex and Organic Camellia brightens the complexion.
Vapour's Soft Focus line has been especially designed to balance all skin types, including oily skin. For dry or mature skin, you'll love the original Vapour Atmosphere Foundation. 1.14 oz.
COLOR GUIDE:
Vapour Foundation colors ending in the number "0" are for neutral, blue
and pink undertones while those ending in the number "5" are for
neutral, yellow and olive undertones. So, for example, 125 is notdarker than 120 - it is the same level as 120 but with less pink.
Skin Type: Perfect for all skin types, especially combination or oily.
Color Spectrum: On the pink side when compared with other foundations.
Coverage: Blendable Sheer to Medium Coverage.
Finish: "Radiant Velvet", a "soft focus"sheen with radiant luminosity.
ill preface this by saying im not a big foundation wearer. i tried this for a bit more coverage than usual, for when i got a little dressed up. but i just wasn't into it. even when i used a tiny bit and blended a lot, i felt like the foundation was just sitting on my skin. that said, it did match my skin color well. if you're more into wearing liquid foundation, it might be worth a shot!

Do NOT wear this if you are being photographed
April 1, 2013
I'll start off with the positives:
- A little goes a long way
- Great coverage without feeling like you're wearing a ton of makeup
- Matches my olive skin perfectly (125 winter 135 summer)
- Nice velvety texture
One MAJOR CON - LOOKS HORRIBLE IN PICTURES! I just recently figured out why my pores and laugh lines were so apparent in photographs. Then yesterday I tried a different makeup and my skin looked flawless in pictures. It was totally the foundation! I've been using Vapour all the time as my day-time foundation because it was nice and light and evened out my skin tone with one quick swipe. Now, I don't know if I'll ever use it again. The photographs make me cringe...I look about 10 years older.

Wait 5 min then look in mirror
March 21, 2013
Cons: makes fine lines and wrinkles more pronounced
Texture was slightly heavy, blended in well. I wanted to love this product. Came back to mirror 5 min later to apply other products and noticed foundation had already "sunk in" to my fine lines around eyes...added 20 years to my face.
Cons: Expensive (but not by Australian standards!)
This was my first Vapour product and is the best foundation I have used, which is saying something as foundations are my favourite product to try. It gives a beautiful luminous finish and light to medium coverage that looks like an airbrushed version of what I wish my skin really looked like. Best of all, I have always been blemish-prone and since using this foundation, I don't break out as much. It is almost like skincare as my existing blemishes improved (maybe the oils were helping them heal?).
I have since tried Vapour's other products and love everything I have tried. The only cons I can think of with this foundation is that it doesn't really 'set' like traditional foundations. For that reason, very oily skins may find it a bit much. However I have combination skin and don't find that it makes my T-zone any oilier. My skin has actually become more balanced.
Weightless texture, full coverage AND easy application? I'm truly amazed by this product! For years, I've needed to use a combination of concealers, foundations and powders to even out my skin tone and hide blemishes. The Vapour Atmosphere Soft Focus Foundation is incredible because now it's the only thing i need for complete coverage, cutting some serious time off my daily makeup routine. It also has a gorgeous, dewy effect to its finish that makes me look like I'm glowing!

Not my favorite
February 22, 2013
Pros: wonderful light smell
Cons: causes oil for combo skin
, the finish doesn't last
I've tried both of Vapour's foundations, and the luminous is my favorite, over this one. I have combo skin, and when I wore this, within a few hours my skin was so oily and by end of day, it was kind of splotch and coming off. This did not happen with the luminous. I love the smell of both, though, as with all vapour products! Definitely try both and see which one you like better. I was recommended to try the color 115, but the color is a little off, so I believe the 110 is the right one.

Amazing Foundation!
February 16, 2013
This foundation goes on smooth and blends so nicely! It feels like silk on my face! Light to medium coverage, which I enjoy. Color descriptions seem to be accurate - I ordered a sample first and it matched my skin beautifully. Great product!

115 is a not a good for yellow/olive skin tones as it is described
January 30, 2013
Pros: Beautiful Texture
Cons: Terrible colour choices for light yellow-toned skin
I cannot believe how different shade 115 in this formula is to 115 in the Vapour Atmosphere Luminous stick foundation.
I have fair asian (oriental, not indian) yellow-toned skin (about NC15 in MAC) and this is way too dark and pinky orange. I got a sample of this and swiped it on my jawline. It looked so terrible that there was no point in trying it over the rest of my face - I would have looked like an Oompa Loompa!
The stick foundation in this shade is much closer to my skin tone, but still a bit too pink. However, the texture of this felt absolutely beautiful and silky on the back of my hand. If you can find a good colour match, there's a good chance you may like this foundation.

Nice - soft focus is accurate
January 21, 2013
Pros: Blends really well
Cons: Lacks very light warm color
At first I was taken aback by the texture when it came out of the pump which is oily & the smell is somewhat of an acquired taste. But overall I really like this foundation - it absorbs very well and does not clog pores. In fact the oily base makes blending it really smooth and seamless. It 'melts' instead of settling into the wrinkles and pores which tends to accent them. I do wish there was a lighter warm color - the lightest warm option (115) is not very light - so for fair ladies this can be a problem unless they have very cool complexions.

I don't like mica
January 6, 2013
Pros: Creamy texture
, Good coverage
Cons: Sparkly finish
The coverage on this is good, but I don't like to sparkle, which I have been told is due to the mica.

Light hold. Doesn't build up.
January 6, 2013
Pros: Smells really good
, Does not build up
Cons: Bottle tends to leak/drip with use
I use this on the ends of my slightly wavy hair to encourage the wave and, at the same time, when I dry the top around a big round brush it gives great volume and shine up there. It is good stuff.

Atmosphere Soft Focus Foundation
January 4, 2013
Pros: Feels soft and silky when applied!
, Looks natural, and gives you a healthy glow
, Easy to apply
, Blends well
, Nice ingredients
Cons: if you use too much, you'll end up looking a bit shiny
, Pricey
, Doesn't stay on all day long
This is a good foundation after my opinion. I would say it has a medium coverage and it is a dream to apply! It blends well and feels so soft and silky, and your skin gets a really natural and glowing finish. But if you use too much it will look oily, and I always have to powder my face after using it no matter what. It doesn't stay on all day long, and I wouldn't really recommand this to people who struggles with very oily skin...
The product is also a bit pricey, so I don't know if I would buy it again.

Not a great color selection
December 17, 2012
Pros: Easy to spread
, Not cakey
Cons: Not enough color selections
Okay, I do admit I have a lot of difficulty finding a shade that matches my skin tone. My undertone is fair/light with neutral (leaning towards olive/yellow) undertones. With that being said, all the samples I received were either too pink or too dark. (I ordered S90,S100, S110, and S115) However, I do love the coverage of this product! It was also much easier to spread than the Atmosphere Luminous Foundation.

Really great foundation, but perhaps not for me.
December 7, 2012
Pros: great ingredients
, moisturizing
, hides lines, belmishes and pores
, great color selection
Cons: needs help to last throughout the day
, pricey
I tried a sample of this foundation in 110, which is a great match for my skin. I found it applies easily using just your fingers, better than it did when I tried it with a foundation brush. It is moisturizing, but not greasy and definitely lives up to the "soft focus" in the name by hiding pores and fine lines. On me it didn't last long and had to be touched up with powder every couple hours but this is really the case for me with any truly natural liquid foundation so it's not a huge problem. I did find, however that one of the handful of times I wore it it oxidized to that dreaded orange color I used to see so often in high school on girls that hadn't matched their foundation to their skin properly (or who had overdone the self tanner). Not sure what caused this the time it happened. Other than that, this foundation is great for a very natural foundation and lasts well enough if used over primer then set with a powder. I may or may not purchase a full size of this foundation as I do like to have a liquid on hand for when my skin is particularly dry, but since I normally use minerals and don't go through a bottle of liquid foundation very quickly I am afraid this product would expire long before I finished it up. At this price, that would certainly be a problem for me.

My Go-to (s100)
October 4, 2012
My expectations weren't realistic after reading all the glowing reviews, so at first I was disappointed, but this has become my go-to foundation. It is not full coverage, but it can be layered. I love that I can apply it with my fingers for a natural, everyday look. It just blends and evens skin tone beautifully. For more glamorous occasions, I use a slightly damp beautyblender for application. This gives a more professional finish. And while this foundation does not contain sun protection, it pairs well with Vive Sana.
I do recommend using a primer and shaking the bottle well before every use.

Just ok
October 2, 2012
This foundation is just ok. The ingredients are great but the product is quite oily (I have normal to dry skin). It's not a light as air texture that's so popular right now. I have the lightest shade and it's very pink based, which isn't perfect. The smell as with all Vapour products is very strong and off putting. The packaging isn't too nice either. Won't repurchase.

Pros: no coconut oil, which can clog some people's skin
, neutral finish- not matte, not shiny
, skin-nourishing ingredients like camellia oil
, buildable coverage, spot concealer
Cons: may take sampling to find the perfect shade for you
, could be too moisturizing for some oily skins
I was starting to think I wasn't going to find a nontoxic foundation I'd be happy with. Thank you, Vapour! This goes on like powdery silk and doesn't make my skin shiny. Also key for me is that this doesn't have coconut oil in it (makes me break out terribly). It's easily buildable and blendable for whatever kind of coverage you're looking for and like Kristina below I've also using it as a concealer, adding a dab of it on top of the "foundation" layer. It does a really good job of keeping you glowy and covered even without the Stratus primer, which is far too think for my skin.
One little quirk I noticed- I had samples of a couple of the lighter shades to start out with, and while the S110 worked on my skin (blended evenly, etc.) it wasn't until I ran out of it and used the S100 that I fell in love with it. Maybe something in the formulation of the "light reflecting particles"? Just the tiny bit of difference in the two shades made a HUGE difference in the look of my skin. Definitely worth sampling another shade if you're not in love with this, and want to be. :)

This is a long one!
September 10, 2012
Pros: Layerable
, Great texture
, Smells great
, Non-irratating
, Treats redness
Cons: Expensive
, Don't work with vapour concealer
General info about me: I wear the 90which is slightly too dark for me, have oily skin (Like using a sheet of the boscia blotting papers an hour if I want to stay matte), all-over rosacea, and sensitive skin, with large pores and acne pit-scars
It goes very...not silicone-silky, but kinda plush? As another reviewer said, without layering this is light-medium coverage. But it does layer beautifully, and has yet to look cakey.
My way of applying it is after toner and sunscreen, in a very lightly all-over with fingers or a damp sponge after warming it up on the back of my hand with what tool I'm using. I repeat with light layers on areas that don't have the coverage I want until they look good to me.
As a side note, I'm using this as a concealer and not the official stuff since it either isn't oily-skin comparable or comparable with the foundation - it slides around.
Since I use it as a moisturizer, I blot immediately after applying on the area where my glasses rest, 30 minutes after so it's done a decent job absorbing into the skin, then as needed. For me, I've figured out it looks and feels much better if I don't apply powder, surprisingly.
The interesting thing about this for me is how it ages. Over the day as I blot, it blends in more (I can say it isn't just wearing off since I can't see my redness) and *lightens*. I'm going to guess for the lightening it's some sort of reverse-oxidization thing going on, since it's oil based and blotting is removing the oil? By the end of the day, the color matches me and I look, to repeat the favorite word for good foundation, "airbrushed".
At the end of the day, I take it off to find skin that is *as* red as if I had gone without. No miracles, though.
It isn't perfect though, because I will still see to two largest of my pit-scars, but it's the first organic liquid foundation that matches me, doesn't irritate me, doesn't break me out, *and* tops it off with helping with my skins health.
I did try it with the liquid primer, which was just too much for my oily skin thought

Great Foundation
September 3, 2012
Pros: glowing skin
Cons: no sun protection
This is a great foundation. Blends in like silk, giving your skin a glow. Matches perfectly. I wear the 120. The Vapour is very similar to RMS. The only down fall is the foundation does not last throughout the day, and you need to add your own sunscreen.
I've tried both this foundation and the stick version. Both are lovely but this had to be my favorite. I have a very fair, neutral to pink skintone and 100 fit me best. It melted into my skin like a dream and looked absolutely lovely. With setting powder it also, for me, lasted all day. I also admittedly didnt use much product. I would say that this is the liquid foundation for girls who don't like liquid foundation, as is the case for me this has been the first (natural or otherwise) that I have actually enjoyed. My only hesitation is the price, even for foundation 48 dollars is a huge amount of money to spend, but for someone with the extra cash this is an excellent purchase and maybe something to consider buying for special occasions.

Good foundation, but not for me
August 11, 2012
Pros: great ingredients
, blendable
Cons: wears down quickly
, not enough shades
, can make an oily T-zone oilier
I really wanted to love this foundation because of the awesome ingredients in it. I usually wear minerals, so trying this out as a sample was different for me as I haven't worn a liquid in a long time. The foundation was very blendable and provided what I would say is about medium to light coverage. If you have many blemishes or spots to cover up, this probably won't cut it. Also, I found that after a few hours of wear the foundation started to break down and I got really oily in my oilier areas (combo skin). I'm a super fair redhead, and the lightest shade of theirs, while I was able to work to blend it into my skin, still wasn't quite light enough for my skin tone. It was a good try and you certainly can't beat the ingredients, but it just wasn't for me.

Excellent foundation!
August 8, 2012
This is honestly the best foundation I have tried so far. I think that the colour range is pretty good for an organic brand, I love the way they have separated the colours between the more rosy and the neutral/olive undertone. I was matched the colour 125, and it is so perfect on me. It truly glides like a dream, I never thought an organic foundation could do this, it was way above my expectation. The texture of the product is strange because it is quite sticky but once you put it on your skin, it is just soo smoooth. The finishing is soft focus satin like it claims. I much prefer this than RMS Beauty Un-Cover Up which sometimes can feel a bit heavy and not smooth on my skin. The finishing is different too, unless you want luminous then go for RMS Beauty or Vapour's Luminous set. I feel safer using this for my skin type (normal to dry but acne prone). I have acne scars which are disappearing after using Celcus' scar cream (it's great btw), and this foundation helps to cover them up even more, although I would not imagine it would be enough for those who are trying to cover up very darkened scars or blemishes. It also claims that it has a coverage of medium to full, but I think that it just falls somewhere in between because I cannot get it to full although it is definitely build able.
I have also noticed that my skin has became wwayyyyy smoother after using this daily!! This is not only a foundation but it is my part of daily skin care regime as well. I'm so glad I found Vapour!! I wish it came with an SPF though.
Oh yes, I might have accidentally put this under my eyes and be careful because if you don't really work this foundation on your fine lines, it can stay there.

Pros: smooth beautiful coverage
Cons: Doesn\'t fair well with very oily skin
I love the way this looks on my skin when I first put it on. The coverage is light and I do need concealer for some hyperpigmentation spots, but it makes my skin look so smooth, natural, and beautiful even in harsh sunlight. I have very oily skin and my face simply transforms into an oil slick within 15 minutes of application and just gets worse as the day moves forward. Even the use of a mineral finishing powder doesn't help. I will perhaps try this again during winter when my natural oil production decreases, but it just does not work well for me during the summer months. I also break out when using this foundation, perhaps due to the combination of my very oily skin and the oils within the foundation.

Great Clean Foundation... But Not For Oily/Combo Skin
July 28, 2012
Pros: Smooths out skintone.
, Great color choice and blendability.
, Feels wonderful on the skin.
, Never irritating or clogging.
, One of the few natural liquid foundations without coconut oil.
, Obviously high quality, nourishing ingredients.
Cons: Imparts too much of a \"glow\" for oily/combo skin.
, Tends to travel too much during regular wear.
, Only light-to-medium coverage unless layered extensively.
I have combination skin, large pores, some uneven color around my nose and eyelids, some pockmarks from childhood, and a decent amount of acne and acne scarring (both icepick scars and hyperpigmentation). In the midst of a very hot and humid summer I was looking for natural and clean foundation to provide both coverage and wear without any suffocating or aggravating synthetics.
I have light skin with neutral to yellow undertones, mostly falling in the second to lightest shade in most foundation ranges. I found s115 to be a great color match, though perhaps just a shade too dark. The consistently of the foundation is viscous and oily, though I found it a bit runny on my fingers. It has a fruity waxy smell, which I didn't find unpleasant.
It blended extremely well on clean, dry, and moisturized/non-moisturized skin. After getting it on it melted into my skin, making it seem as if I weren't wearing makeup at all. It did an amazing job evening out my skintone and seemed to smooth over my pores and indented scars, even though it wasn't masking or filling all of them up.
The copy states this foundation has medium-to-full coverage and is for oily/combo skin, but I found that unless you layer it over several times (2-3 or more full applications with my clean fingers), the coverage is more light-to-medium and no matter what it imparts a dewy finish that straddles the line between a "youthful glow" and simply looking like a shiny mess. This shine can be off-set pretty well by powder, but due to the oily and sheer nature of this foundation it has the tendency to move as time goes on. However it blended so well that it was difficult to tell unless I had a blemish to serve as reference.
Trying it over primer (Vapour's own) and under powder left less than satisfactory results as the powder settled into that mottled, tacky texture reminiscent of buttercream frosting breaking in the bowl due to too much heat -- though admittedly that may be affected by my own application, skin type, and the weather.
Overall, this seems like it would be a WONDERFUL foundation for someone who doesn't have too many skin imperfections -- scars, blemishes, etc -- and merely suffers from the occasional spot or uneven color. I'd definitely recommend it to someone with dry skin as it felt light but nourishing. After trying it several times and wearing it throughout the day, I found that while its longevity is lacking, it never broke me out or irritated my skin. In fact, I often felt better for having it on. I think it's an excellent natural and organic liquid foundation -- definitely one of the best I've tried -- but it simply isn't for me right now.

Feels like velvet
July 27, 2012
Pros: Feel
, Coverage
, Smell
Cons: Oily
I have bought this foundation twice now in the color S210 (I'm average paleness, but get tan in the summer). I wasn't sure about which color to pick when I was first buying it so I emailed Vapour through their website and got a prompt and helpful email back suggesting which color would work best for me based on the description and picture I gave them of my skin.
I really like the feel of the foundation (it feels like velvet when you are applying it) and I think it smells nice (subtle fruit smell that dissipates quickly). The only problem I have with the foundation is that I tend to look shiny by the afternoon (I seem to have oily skin though, so maybe it wouldn't be a problem for other drier-skinned people). It has good coverage and blends nicely. Overall, I really like this foundation I just wish it was a little less oily for me and maybe came in a glass container.

Nice, but too pink
July 24, 2012
This is a nice foundation, but I wish Vapour offered more yellow based shades. This spreads very nicely on your skin, and smells nice like sour apple candy. Once on you can not notice the smell. It does a good job of evening out your skin tone, but does not cover everything.I have s100 which is the lightest shade. I would say it is medium coverage.I notice that sometimes it does settle into very fine lines. I would like this product more if it was more yellow based. Overall nice product.

Didn't work for me
July 23, 2012
I was really excited to try this product. I just barely got my skin under control after a really bad breakout crisis, but I still have a lot of red marks/scarring. Unfortunately, this really didn't do the trick for me. It didn't give me great coverage and it kind of melted down my face during the day. I will say that I am a newbie to makeup, so it could have been user-error.

Great, but...
June 6, 2012
This is a great foundation. It has good coverage, this coming from someone who has some scarring from past acne, and doesn't require copious amounts to get the cover that you want. The only downside is that it can have a bit of an oily finish. I usually put the foundation on and then finish with a matte powder (I use W3ll People's Realist X) to give myself a less shiny appearance. Other than that, I would recommend it. One reviewer commented on the smell, which I think is anything but "rotten apples", as they said. I find it actually light and enjoyable--sort of like a faint perfume. It disappears pretty quickly after application, for those concerned about it.

A decent foundation. Honestly, I haven't found a natural foundation that looks as good as my Chanel, but this is the best one I have found so far. It spreads evenly and has an easy-to-use pump. It covers my blemishes and evens out my skin tone. The cons are that it starts to break down after several hours of wear, and the texture is a little bit thick and greasy. I wear S100 and it seems to be a neutral. If you are extremely pale and rosy, you might not be able to find a match with Vapour

If I wore foundation, I would really love this. However, hardly ever do I wear foundation. It feels good on, a comfortable feel for foundation.
Alternatively, I have found that I can use it almost like a concealer in specific areas rather than all over use. In that regard it's quite good as well.
The color I got is closest to my summer skin tone and so it does not get a whole lot of milage since during the warmer months I require less makeup and have even less desire to wear foundation.

This is the Best Natural Fundation I tried. But it is still miles away from it's synthetic counterparts. It glides on nicely, but it is quite thick/oily. The colours are ok. I have the lightest shades which is quite pink. I'd prefer a more yellow base. The packaging looks cheap. The main reason why I won't repurchase though is the smell. It is so strong (reminds me of rotten apples) and it has a long staying power.
